Fall in Kamloops is absolutely stunning! There are so many beautiful backdrops. Featured here is McArthur Island Park, one of Kamloops' gems!
The Fall tones play so well with my ideal wardrobe. A mix of textures and natural fabrics like cottons and linens create such a timeless look for the perfect storybook portrait.

Your kamloops child photography
Childhood is fleeting. Our little ones grow in the blink of an eye. Candid photos of our kids are great, and we can all easily do that with our smart phones in the blink of an eye. I like to take it to another level. Turning your little one's childhood into Art is the perfect way to celebrate them and is such a treasured heirloom to pass down to them. Each children's portrait session is unique to them. I use a variety of props such as vintage books, lanterns and textiles with wooden and vintage toys to create a timeless, fairytale-like scene. Some Clients choose a more simple route while others may want something more in depth/themed. Your child will feel like they jumped out of a storybook.
Children's sessions typically have less images in a gallery as each image is treated as it own story and work of Art. They are envisioned and designed with the intention of being printed and framed or displayed in an album.

1. Say Hello
2.reserve your date
Once we have had our initial consult and you've decided that we are a great fit, we will choose your date! Once we've selected your magical day, I will draft up your contract and invoice and send it your way.
Once your contract is signed and retainer is received, you're booked baby!
This is where the creativity comes! ! I'll ask you some brief questions on the vibe you want for your session. This is how I choose my locations. For example: your child may want to imagine themselves as a sailor at sea, or a faerie in a forest, or a fisherman in a creek.
Once we have the vibe set, then we plan the outfits! Outfits are based off of the location and the Child, to make sure its all cohesive, flattering and just overall makes sense for the Art we are creating. All Clients have use of my Client closet, outfits are an important part of the shoot as they set the whole tone! If scheduling allows, I will do a styling consult at your home.
You also have the option of just giving me full reins - I'll plan the whole outfit/theme for your child - this is a popular choice!
3. the fun stuff!
The day has arrived, let's have some fun! At this point, you will have been fully prepared for the day so all you need to do is show up.
Most sessions are around 1 hour, however it all depends on the Client and what we are trying to achieve as each session is catered to each client. Sometimes we are done in 45 minutes, sometimes 2 hours. There is no timeline so you don't need to stress.
4. let's shoot!
The moment you've been waiting for has arrived! Its a great day, your beautiful images have just arrived in your inbox!
You fully edited gallery will be delivered to you within 2 weeks (unless otherwise stated) of your shoot date. Once you've chosen your final images and your invoice is paid, they will be released for download where you can ooh and aww over them in hi resolution!
I can also guide you through selecting your Fine Art prints and products - in person appointment can be arranged.
